Raw Garlic Honey Shots

There are so many natural remedies to have on hand during cold and flu season, and after my recent battle with the flu, I will never again be without raw garlic and honey.

Garlic has many antiviral and antimicrobial properties, making it a superfood in the world of natural remedies. Honey also has many antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties making it the perfect compliment to garlic in fighting off viral infections.

You can make a jar of this to keep on hand during the winter months, but I prefer to make these individual shots as needed.

  • Take one clove of garlic and dice it as finely as you can. It should yield about 1.5 teaspoons of garlic.
  • Let the chopped garlic sit for 5-8 minutes to oxidize so it release its full medicinal effects.
  • Place the chopped garlic on a small spoon and pour raw honey on top of it to cover all of the garlic.

  • Do this 2-3x a day when fighting an active infection.
